Phase III - Detailed Quantitative Risk AssessmentDetailed intrusive investigations are often required in order to establish ground properties and contamination characteristics (soil, groundwater and land gas) of the site. When dealing with land affected by contamination, investigations are carried out based on the technical framework for applying a risk management process as detailed in CLR 11 (Model Procedures for the Management of Land Contamination). A preliminary conceptual model and risk assessment is prepared as part of the desk study and allows for design of the site investigation. |
